Another fantastic Food Safari on Sunday took us to Blythburgh to learn about free-range pig farming with Blythburgh Free Range Pork. From there the group headed back to the Anchor in Walberswick, where the Suffolk Food Hall’s Gerard King demonstrated the cuts of meat from a pig. Following that, the group made their own sausages and cooked them on the BBQ. The day was rounded off superbly by Mark and Sophie Dorber, who treated the group to a stunning food and beer experience.
Here are some of my shots from the Food Safari.

Say hello to Dylan – a beautiful little 2 year old from Ipswich. I visited his parents’ house this morning to capture some pics of the little fella in action. Here’s one of my faves!

An exciting new restaurant will soon be opening on the Ipswich Waterfront – I was commissioned my Hospitality & Lifestyle Marketing firm Ibis Advantage to take preliminary promotional shots of the food on offer at the establishment, which is opening Mid-October 2009. Here are a few shots from the first shoot.

Another brilliant day at the Aldeburgh Food & Drink festival. The weather has been incredible, even for late September and once again the crowds flocked to Snape Maltings to see, smell, touch and taste the wonderful array of food Suffolk has to offer. Here’s a quick selection of images from today.

Follow the success of his first book, Do You Do Any Wings?, local musician and author Shane Kirk is now working on his second book, All These Little Pieces. I was commissioned by Shane and his publishing team to shoot the cover wrap for the book. Although the setup was reasonably straightforward, the execution had to match an image taken from Eric Clapton’s 1978 album Backless (see below). The final image will be used as a full-bleed wrap across the front and back cover of the book, just like the original Clapton album sleeve. I’ll post an image along with a link where you can purchase your copy of Shane’s new book.

Here’s one of my favourite shots from a recent family photoshoot in Capel St Mary, Suffolk. I was contacted by the family who comissioned me for a series of studio shots at their home. They then chose their favourite shot, and ordered a fantastic 15″x10″ print, which they are having framed as a surprise for another family member. What a lovely gift!
