What a great second half to the week!

Tomorrow I’m out at Christmas Hall in Suffolk covering a wedding of a couple who are travelling to the area from North Wales. It’s a beautiful venue, so well worth the journey!

Then on Friday this week, I’ve been commissioned to do some new product photography for the House & Garden store at Snape Maltings – one of Suffolk’s premiere retail and arts-based locations. The finished product photography will appear on Snape Maltings’ main website.

For their forthcoming wedding anniversary, Eileen and Peter’s daughter-in-law commisioned me to visit them at their home in Eyke, Suffolk and capture the couple together. The portrait photoshoot resulted in some lovely moments between the two, and the family are now choosing a final image to have printed in large format to celebrate their special day. Congratulations! x

Off-duty wedding photographer!

It’s that time of year when I’m off to lots of lovely weddings and taking photographs of people’s very special day. This weekend is slightly different, it’s one of my best friend’s big day down near Bishop’s Stortford, so Mr EightyOne and I are heading down there to see her get married with our own eyes (rather than through a viewfinder, for a change!). I’ll still no doubt have a camera with me on hand to take some photos of their wedding, and maybe even some of us being there!

So, have a wonderful wedding Little Em, and we’ll hopefully have a catch up this afternoon once you have become Mrs. Herd! x

To the rest of you, have a brilliant weekend. I’ve currently got some fantastic plans in the works for a new project involving portrait photography – I’m sure you’ll be hearing about it soon!

Suffolk Brewers’ Market – Event Photography

Here we go! As promised, here’s some shots from yesterday’s successful Brewers’ Market at Snape Maltings, in Sunny (well, changeable) Suffolk. Enjoy. x

Applying the idea of a Farmers’ Market to beers, Britain’s first Brewer’s Market will bring together 12 of East Anglia’s best microbrewers at Snape Maltings, near Aldeburgh on Sunday 26 July. The event revives Snape’s long connection with brewing over 30 years after the site ceased malting barley for beer. – Polly Robinson, Food Safari
