It's all about the little things.

Aside from making sure my trousers are ironed, my batteries are charged and my lenses are clean, my thoughts, on the morning of a wedding, are focused on the little things. The little things that mean a lot to you. The things that you have both chosen to decorate your day with.

Before I arrive at a wedding I’ll know the grounds of the venue, where the group shots are going to take place and I’ll have a list of the exact group shots you wish me to capture. What I won’t know is how beautiful the flowers you have chosen are going to look, or how striking your 8 tiered cheese cake looks. How beautiful your dress looks hanging from the four poster bed, or how elegant your carefully chosen shoes look as you open the box to put them on.

I won’t know if your dad is going to burst into tears the moment he comes to collect you from your room, or how your groom will be biting his lip to stop himself from crying as he awaits your arrival, what I do know is that these are the moments that make me love photographing your wedding day.

They are the moments that make your day. The moments that are easily forgotten once you are on the plane back from your honeymoon. I am there to capture them and save them for you, so that you can revisit your day, exactly how you had planned it, whenever you like.

So apart from the technical side of the day, the biggest preparation for me is to put myself in your shoes and capture the memories that I know you would want to be remembered.

It's all about the little things.
